In my experience of coaching female entrepreneurs and women that want to start businesses it has become clear that many women often self-sabotage their success and hold themselves back from achieving their true potential because of their resistance to stepping into the spotlight because of visibility issues, not feeling truly confident in who they are and what they uniquely have to offer and really owning their true value and worth.

Being a female entrepreneur, giving yourself permission to step out into the spotlight, allowing yourself to be seen and heard and establishing and positioning yourself as an authority and expert in your industry will increase your credibility, marketability and profitability factor and will enable you to supercharge you’re earning potential.

If you are an extrovert you will love being in the spotlight though if you are an introvert you may find yourself resisting opportunities that will help you attract more clients, referrals, money and opportunities.

The truth is whether you are an extrovert or an introvert you have the potential to increase your visibility, credibility and profitability and position yourself as an expert in your industry.

Below I am going to share 5 steps to position yourself as an expert in your industry and increase your credibility, visibility and profitability:

Step 1

Networking in person is one of the best forms of marketing if done correctly and is crucial to the success of your business. Your Network is your Net Worth so with this in mind it is important to think about your current Network and also think about if it is time to commit to building and expanding your Network.

Consider becoming a regular member of a Networking Group or create your own Networking Group using a platform such as Meet Up. Networking truly is about building genuine relationships that could potentially attract your ideal clients, referral partners, collaboration partners, money and profitable opportunities.

Step 2

It is important that you have up to date social media profiles such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram with Profile Images that are authentic, professional and present the true “YOU” and personal bio’s that let people understand who you are and what you uniquely have to offer.

Consider asking for speaking engagements at local Women’s Networking Groups to attract more clients, referrals, money and profitable opportunities. Create one signature talk that you can offer that will enable you to deliver high value content that will increase your credibility and position you as an expert in your industry.

Step 3

Focus on leveraging your natural talents, strengths and attributes. If you are an extrovert that loves being in the spotlight then make it your intention to attract speaking engagements and create your own events. Start a video blog and start consistently creating and delivering high value content to build your community and build your list.

If you are an introvert focus on building relationships 1-1 networking to build your Network and increase your Net Worth. If you love writing commit to writing a weekly newsletter and blog and focus on building relationships, delivering high value content and nurturing and growing your list which is key for everyone in business.

Step 4

If you are in business it is important to have an up-to-date website that represents your Signature Personal Brand. Your website must have an up-to date authentic and professional photo of you especially if you are providing personal services. It is also important to have a professional bio and clearly and concisely communicate your services.

You must also include your contact details and social media links in a visible place on your website to ensure that when potential clients want to contact you they can find your details quickly and easily. Business cards are also important to have for networking and again these should be up-to-date and current.

Step 5

Social media is a great way to become more visible and yet sometimes having an online presence can have the opposite effect in attracting the wrong attention. It is crucial to remember that when you are a professional business owner that the transparency of having an online presence means that you must be aware and conscious about what you are sharing on social media, the language you choose to use and what you post, share and comment on because your attitude and the posts and comments you share all reflect on your Personal Brand.

Your Personal Brand and your on-line presence and can either attract your ideal clients, prospective clients or referral partners or close the door to someone that may in the future want to do business with you or refer business to you. Authenticity and transparency is crucial to the success of your business and it is crucial that your personal brand communicates the powerful message that you want which is ultimately confidence, credibility, professionalism and trust.
